Following the success of the group’s May event the WTG is delighted to confirm its next showcase will take place on 18th and 19th of October. Hosted at LRIC in north Manchester this event has the twin themes of energy efficiency and safety in the warehouse. Key note speakers are attending to give delegates valuable insights into new technology and working practises.

Lance Pearson will demonstrate how Utility Watch saves companies in the warehousing industry thousands of pounds per month on energy bills. He will explain how you can both better source energy and reduce energy consumption.

Ian Hancock, a vastly experienced Health and Safety expert will share his experiences of working in some of the countries leading logistics and distribution companies. He will show how reducing the likelihood of accidents in the supply chain is both morally and economically important.

With the Warehouse Technology group now numbering over 20 partners delegates will be able to view and experience a wide range of products relevant to the latest distribution warehouses. Supporting the working exhibits is an extensive seminar programme and each partner will have technical staff on site during the two days to explain the detailed workings of their products.

Partnering with the WTG at this event is forklift truck supplier Barloworld. They will have a fleet of their latest general purpose forklift trucks and specialist materials handling equipment. Visitors will be able to see these machines working in a real world situation, and discuss with the company’s staff how they are maximising the efficiency of their customer’s flt fleets.

Chairman of the WTG, Phil Culling is excited by the programme: “We are bringing together a wealth of experience, knowledge and skills at this event. Delegates will have a great opportunity to view the latest equipment and working practises and talk to industry leaders about issues that concern their businesses. There is no other comparable forum for such an interchange.”

Attendance of the event is by invitation only: More information and details of how to get an invitation can be found on the WTG website at www.wtglive.co.uk.
